After a little bit of digging through the internet, I was able to uncover more about a breaking artist by the name of Kevin George. Kevin George is a 20-year-old self-taught producer/singer who found inspiration from likes of The Weeknd, Tame Impala, Calvin Harris, and Prince to name a few.
A lot of his praises target The Weeknd’s discography. In his newest track, “High Like This” (which wouldn’t be far fetched to think that the naming of his song was also inspired by The Weeknd), George refrains from any thing flashy, ensuring that the listener maintains attention to the words and the production.
It is a gloomy track and visual that shows distorted and hazy shots of George, pictures of Prince and a static-y TV. Over the years, George says that he’s been working on finding a style and sound that caters to him. With an EP titled LOVELAND that is upcoming, he believes this record will show listeners what has been in store for nearly five years.
After you hear LOVELAND I hope you will understand my intentions .
I'm a 20 y/o artist who doesn't believe in sticking to one genre..
I love music
I have 0 restraints musically & when I tell you I have spent the last 5 years of my life trying to achieve this sound, I mean it
