French Soul Singer Sings On The Intensities Of Sheer Eye Contact
Coming to you straight out of Cannes in the South of France is self taught guitarist, singer/songwriter Hyleen. Yesterday Hyleen released the upbeat, soulful funk single “Looking At.” The song is off of her newest album “B-Side,” which is set to release tomorrow in Japan and in Europe at a later date in 2017. From the get-go you will notice that Hyleen has been blessed with a uniquely husky voice that pairs well with just about any instrument. The song opens up with tight snare kicks and luscious electric guitar, only to be welcomed by Hyleen’s deep and warm vocals.
Accompanied with some stellar visuals that were directed by Hyleen and her brother Hadrien Besse, it seems like Hyleen can just about do it all! The song speaks on the non-verbal communication between two people. Hyleen explains, “This song is a silent dialogue between two people, a dialogue between their eyes – it is still more intense than any words can describe.” Take a look and listen for yourself below:
