Last Friday FRENSHIP put out a new music video for their February-released single “LOVE Somebody”. The song and video come after a successful year of collaborating and releasing their breakout Billboard Hot 100 hit “Capsize”.
With the success of “Capsize” now reaching over half a billion streams, FRENSHIP looks to continue the momentum with their North American tour (Good Morning, Goodbye tour) kicking of on April 3rd. The duo will also be in appearance at this year’s Bonnaroo festival as well.
As far as their video for “LOVE Somebody” goes, production credit goes to Jennifer Goodridge, while it showcases scenes of Brett and James singing, including shots of a variety of people echoing the song’s theme. It’s an all-around feel good song and video. Coming off of a hiatus of releasing new music, the two thought that this song and video “felt timely” during its release in February.
“We’d been gone for a while, so we hadn’t put a song out in… I don’t know how long, but in quite a bit, and you’re always a little worried of putting something new out, and you kinda go, ‘Is this gonna do all right?’ But it’s been good so far,” James Sunderland mentions in their piece with Billboard.
