So over the weekend the Internet had a field day with Katy Perry because, well, she brought out Migos and was doing this on SNL:

Katy Perry's dancing should be made illegal in all 50 states & US territories. pic.twitter.com/P0wYIoYKRm

I mean everything that just transpired from that was pretty cringy, but I’m not going to lie, it was absolutely hilarious to watch in real-time. Plus, the reactions from all over the internet did not fail to entertain.

Katy: "What? I love Amigos!"

They even tried to take a shot at the dancing Warriors mom! The Warriors mom has some rhythm people, leave her out of this…
Then shortly after came the cultural appropriation memes.

You know, I just had a feeling Miley was going to make her way into this bit. Nonetheless, what capped it all off for me and my entertainment was when she brought out the little skinny viral Instagram boy.
Katy Perry deadass brought out that dancing kid from instagram LMAO pic.twitter.com/ycKqfDfcvd

So after all of this, some people were offended (of course) because of the whole cultural appropriation thing and how she’s using urban artists and culture to promote her own agenda and blah, blah, blah. Yeah, it’s cringy to watch what she did when she brought Migos out but let’s not sit here and fault her because she’s obviously trying to tap into markets that are different than what she’s used to. I give her credit for that. Maybe next time she should just stay a little more low-key with the dance moves is all.
p.s. the dancing Instagram boy will never get old and if you hate on that, well then you’re just looking for things to hate on at this point.
