I don’t know about you, but this to me has got to be the biggest relief for ole Tomi here. Sure, maybe having her show where she receives an income and has a platform to millions of viewers go off the air indefinitely isn’t in her best interest (or maybe it is), but having to put on a front for every liberal news media outlet in America on how you are this die hard, angry, right-winged conservative on every stance, all the time, has to get burdensome. It was literally only a matter of time until a candid Tomi came to the surface of the water.
There is really no way you can be that far right and angry at everything thing in the world all the time. It just doesn’t seem logical. I for one, would be so damn exhausted, getting challenged and dissected on every little word, view point, or stance pertaining to politics my head would damn near explode. And you have to know that these show hosts are coming prepared as fuck with loaded questions waiting for her to screw up and give her actual candid response. Alas, The View (what they dub as a predominantly female driven show) finally cracked the surface. Tomi’s got balls, man. I give her that. She does not back down from a challenge. This was essentially a five on one and they were ready to nitpick her stances. And at 7:50 seconds we catch some candid Tomi Lahren.
Tomi Lahren everyone. She could not hold back that smile as her pro-choice stance was announced. But this look…
I’m no rocket scientist, but I do like to take pride in my ability to recognize social cues, and this right here looks like a low-key "girl, I knew it" look from Paula Faris.
The outcome of this? Well, let’s just say extreme conservatives are not too thrilled about it. Glenn Beck, creator ofThe Blaze, commented on the taping and reasoning for suspending her show for a week, and mentioned that he "questioned the sincerity and depth" of her pro-choice movement, seeing as last year she criticized it on social media. I’m not the political buff here and I will repeat that – I’m not, but I will say that this was pretty straightforward. Someone did their research, she was called out on it and she answered it. What we’re seeing are gaps in the political divide.
I’m kind of tired of the whole left/right ideology. People are fed so much information (biased and all) that it deludes the way we think for ourselves. Everything has to be a side. You’re this or that. Right or left. Can you be left on some stances and right on others? Why not? I know I am. This whole extremist left and right rhetoric is what’s keeps the country divisive in my opinion.
