Tonight in Cleveland the Golden State Warriors go for a sweep over Lebron James and the Cavs in the NBA finals, and their third title in four years. After the debacle that was Game 1 for the Cavs, we all kind of saw this coming, right? Not necessarily a sweep but the Warriors having no trouble winning the series. Per Bovada.Iv, currently the series price sits at the Warriors –20000, $20,000 to win $100 if you are putting money on the Warriors. No team in the NBA has ever come back from being down 3-0 and guess what? it probably will not happen this year either. I am a huge LBJ fan, I want him to win this series, but it seems pretty clear that the Warriors are just flat out better. Better by a long shot. With Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combing for 21 points on 3-15 from three-point range the Warriors still won. Because the Warriors also have Kevin Durant while Lebron is hitting the floor with debatably the worst team to ever play in the Finals.
With all of that being said I have a few picks to give out for the game tonight. This year’s NBA playoffs have been a roller coaster, although we wound up in the finals with the series that everyone saw coming. It was difficult to get a grip on the games this year when it comes to the betting aspect. All lines come from Bovada.lv
Warriors – 4.5 (-110)
Just about everyone out there that talks/writes/podcast about sports was saying Warriors in 5 before the series started. That would mean Cleveland winning at least one game. Same situation as last year here with the Cavs at home down 3-0, and last year we saw the Cavs get the win before losing game 5. This year is different, I think the Warriors sweep and 4.5 points just seems so small for this team. At any stretch of the game they can hit 2 or 3 threes in as many trips and then quickly be up by double digits. This game could go down like game 3, close until the end and then some daggers from someone on the Warriors.
Finals MVP Steph Curry (+275)
There is some value here on investing some capital in Steph winning MVP. Kevin Durant is a pretty heavy favorite now at –500. If Curry comes out and has a pretty huge game to clinch the trophy, I could see him getting the MVP. Let’s just hope the dud he laid in game 3 did not completely rule MVP out for him.
Lebron James total pts/rebounds/assists Under 57.5 (-115)
The series is over and I feel like Lebron knows that, he is exhausted, he is averaging 42 minutes per game this postseason, he can’t not be tired. Lebron mails it in tonight and moves on to his summer.
