Let me introduce you to Chris Shreve aka C. Shreve The Professor. You’re probably asking, “well why is he called the professor, Brad?” Hold on, I’m about to tell you. Chris Shreve is actually a Senior Lecturer at Appalachian State University, with a field focus on Health and Physical Education.
And there you have it, C. Shreve, THE Professor. The North Carolina MC and educator just released a new visual for one of the fan favorite tracks from his Twenty Sixteens project, “Catacombs.” Keeping the support in-state, the song was produced by Raleigh artist P.A.T. Junior and the video was directed by Asheville native Andrew Anderson.
The video captures beautiful silhouettes of the mountainous Asheville terrain, but doesn’t distract the listener from the messages C. Shreve is putting out throughout the track. This song finds Shreve digging through his own mind in a modern take on the Allegory of the Cave. To Free The Optimus inside each of us has always been the goal of his FTO collective.
