American rapper Pell released his newest EP girasoul a couple of hours ago. Originally from New Orleans, LA, the singer/songwriter was forced to relocate to Jackson, MS after Hurricane Katrina. After the move, Pell began performing music.
In 2015 he released a track titled “Eleven:11” which ended up getting noticed and remixed by G-Eazy. The song itself earned over 7 million streams. His style is reminiscent to artists in their early days like Chance The Rapper, Skizzy Mars, and even Childish Gambino. His single “Throwback” featuring Saba uses a notorious sample and uptempo flows to lure the listener in from the start, not to mention a catchy hook top it all off.
