Let’s take a step back and appreciate what Kwaye as a music artist is doing. Six days ago the Zimbabwe-born, London-based artist released follow up visuals to his soon-to-blow-up 80 reminiscent pop single “Cool Kids.” The song is titled “Little Ones” and is blast back to the 90’s with an overwhelmingly amazing Price-styled pop sounding vibe.
Having been directed to Mind of a Genius record label founder David Dann through playing his song “Cool Kids” in an Uber, he is the latest signing to the label; following other up-and-coming names in the industry like THEY., ZHU, and Gallant. “Little Ones” speaks on the systemized abidance to expectations of normality and how society tends to fall victim into certain labels and categories.
“We are not born with prejudice—it is learned. Little Ones encapsulates the binding nature of prejudice, and the boundless freedom expressed in the minds of children. It is about persevering and nurturing that innocence, and refusing to be denied of that freedom of expression.” Watch the video below.
