There’s Something To Be Said About LaVar Ball

Brad DobbinsMarch 24, 20172.4K Views0
LaVar Ball is entertainment at its finest. This guy is an unfiltered, word vomiting, tornado of controversy. I love it. Father to the three Ball brothers, Lonzo, LaMelo and LiAngelo (obviously the apple doesn’t fall too far from the naming tree in this family), and might as well be their agent while he’s at it. Most people are getting really tired of seeing this guy all over national sports outlets. Scott Van Pelt is certainly one of them.

He’s called out basketball greats like Michael Jordan, Steph Curry, Lebron James and now Magic Johnson. This guy is on a war path and is unapologetic to literally no one. He’s arrogant, blasphemous, disrespectful, incorrigible, insert every self criticizing adjective you can think of. Hell, the guy is asking for a billion dollar shoe deal for his unproven sons. But you know what? He’s got the media right in the palm of his hands and they are merely puppets in his game of trolling the world. And the funny thing is, is that they’re going to keep putting those mics in his face because, ratings. Do I think this man could beat the G.O.A.T. (Michael Jordan) in a game of one-on-one basketball? Absolutely not. Is Lonzo better than Curry? Absolutely not. Will Lonzo be better than Curry? That is to be determined, but I won’t count him out. LaVar does a great job of drawing reactions out of people, whether good, bad, angry or all of the above. I will credit LaVar at the end of the day because if there’s one thing to take from all of this, LaVar is a mastermind of instilling confidence. Take his boys as prime examples.
He’s raised three boys who will all end up attending UCLA (and more than likely have their education’s paid for). If you’ve seen interviews with his kids, they are stand-up, genuine, unphased by distractions, 100% good kids. LaVar raised his kids right, which is something that shouldn’t go unnoticed. And the overarching theme that he’s instilled in them is that if you want to be the best, you have to believe you are the best. If you haven’t seen the 20 minute argument between Stephen A. and LaVar Ball, I advise you watch every bit of this video because it is undeniable entertainment at its best. It’s one liner after one liner, following Stephen A.’s animated reactions.
