He’s a 23-year-old, Naples, Florida-residing musician who was recently signed to Columbia Records. About a month ago Fike re-released a six-track EP that had music heads looking into the artist a little deeper, and even had managers from likes of Chance The Rapper and Russ inquiring about potential collaborations.
One would think Fike comes off as if he should be categorized into this new-aged hip-hop genre with the face tattoos he bares and what not, but you would be wrong. His latest EP is entirely alternative, utilizing electric guitar, drum kits, and harmonizing vocals. Industry heads are buzzing about this kid and even going as far saying that this artist is bound to win awards, like multiple. But after listening to his six-track EP Don’t Forget About Me, Demos it’s pretty easy to see why they would draw those inferences. Plus it is a very short and sweet listen. Let’s welcome Dominic Fike to The Millennial Y.
